“Three Arrested in Shocking Triple Shooting Incident in Bowmanville 2024”

Three individuals have been charged following a triple shooting incident that took place in Bowmanville last summer.

According to Durham police, the incident occurred at a residence in the vicinity of Concession Street East and Mearns Avenue around midnight on June 2, 2024.

Upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered three individuals – a 25-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man, and a 25-year-old man – with gunshot wounds.

The injured individuals were promptly transported to the hospital and received medical attention for their non life-threatening injuries.

After a thorough investigation, Durham Regional Police have apprehended three suspects in connection with the shooting.

The arrested individuals are identified as Rocco Trentadue, 23, from Clarington, Jarrett Barbara, 22, from Oshawa, and Dylan Heinola, 23, also from Clarington. They are facing various charges, including unlawful possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm without the required license or registration.

Additionally, Trentadue and Heinola have been charged with firing a weapon with the intent to cause harm. Heinola is further charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for trafficking purposes.

All three suspects have been detained for a bail hearing.
