“Langley RCMP Intensifies Traffic Crackdown Following Fatal Crash”

A fatal collision occurred in Langley Township on Monday evening, resulting in the death of one person. The incident took place on 256 Street near 48 Avenue around 6:20 p.m., where two vehicles were involved in a crash that left both cars significantly damaged.

Despite efforts to save the driver, one individual tragically lost their life in the accident. The Langley RCMP closed the road for several hours to allow the Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) to conduct a thorough investigation at the scene.

Authorities have ruled out impairment as a factor in the crash but are still looking into the circumstances that led to this devastating collision. This incident marks the fifth fatal collision in Langley Township within a six-week period, prompting the Langley RCMP to enhance traffic enforcement measures and increase high-visibility patrols in areas with high collision rates and speeding issues.
