Authorities in Montreal North are currently probing an incident where a vehicle was deliberately set ablaze in the early hours of Wednesday.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Désy Avenue and Maurice-Duplessis Blvd, with emergency services responding to a 911 call around 4:45 a.m. Upon arrival, police discovered a burning vehicle, with firefighters promptly extinguishing the flames.
Julien Lévesque, a spokesperson for the Montreal police, indicated that preliminary findings point towards criminal intent as the cause of the fire. As of now, no suspects have been apprehended and there have been no reports of injuries stemming from the incident.
The Montreal police’s arson unit is actively investigating the matter to determine the circumstances behind the vehicle arson.
