Projet Montréal has assembled a full team of 103 candidates in preparation for the upcoming municipal election on Nov. 2, marking a significant milestone as they gear up for the official campaign launch this Friday.
Leader and mayoral candidate Luc Rabouin introduced the team and unveiled the party’s slogan, “No slogan. Only solutions,” emphasizing their commitment to practical problem-solving.
This achievement sets Projet Montréal apart as the first municipal party in Montreal to finalize its candidate roster well before the official election period, a commendable feat achieved just 48 hours before the official campaign commencement.
During a press conference, Rabouin expressed confidence in their proposed solutions that are tailored to address the pressing needs and priorities of Montreal residents.
“We aim to demonstrate to the people of Montreal that we not only have a clear vision for the city but also possess the right team to execute it effectively,” Rabouin declared.
The party’s slogan reflects their dedication to addressing critical issues such as housing and homelessness challenges, fostering economic growth, and enhancing Montreal’s resilience in the face of climate change.
Additionally, Rabouin emphasized a solution-oriented approach, stating, “We are focused on delivering tangible results that resonate with the community, rather than relying on mere rhetoric or empty promises.”
In a significant move, Rabouin introduced Élise Tanguay as the final candidate to join the team, a seasoned communications professional vying for the city council seat in Saint-Paul–Émard–Saint-Henri-Ouest. Tanguay’s expertise in housing advocacy and her previous involvement in negotiating affordable housing initiatives align with Projet Montréal’s core values.
Reflecting on her experience, Tanguay highlighted the importance of safeguarding housing affordability and spearheading innovative housing solutions beyond the conventional market options.
