A Toronto man was recently apprehended by law enforcement for pretending to be a police officer and attacking an individual in the Scarborough area. The incident occurred on August 9 when the suspect, driving a black Hyundai Tucson, engaged with a pedestrian near Birchmount Road and Ellesmere Road. Allegedly, the man posed as a police officer, exited his vehicle, and physically assaulted the victim. Bobby Moyes, a 49-year-old Toronto resident, was taken into custody and now faces charges of assault, impersonation of a peace officer, and making threats. He was set to make a court appearance on Wednesday.
