A man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition following a stabbing incident in Surrey’s Whalley neighborhood on a Saturday afternoon. The Surrey Police Service (SPS) responded to reports of a man with stab wounds near King George Boulevard and 107th Avenue at approximately 2:30 p.m.
SPS officers acted swiftly to administer emergency medical aid to stabilize the victim’s injuries. The man, aged in his mid-30s, was then transported to the hospital by BCEHS and is currently in critical condition.
Simultaneously, while attending to the victim, SPS officers apprehended the suspect, a man in his early 40s, who is now in police custody.
The SPS has confirmed that the suspect is being held in custody pending further investigation.
