Tragic Highway 11 Crash Claims Life of 28-Year-Old Woman in Northern Ontario, Reports OPP

Authorities are currently probing a tragic accident on a rural Ontario highway that resulted in the death of a young woman and led to the closure of the road for an extended period.

According to reports, the Greenstone detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police received multiple distress calls last Friday evening regarding a collision between a tractor-trailer and an SUV along Highway 11.

Tragically, the 28-year-old female driver, hailing from Longlac, who was the sole occupant of the SUV, lost her life in the incident.

As a result of the collision, Highway 11 had to be shut down between Longlac and Beardmore for an extensive duration, eventually reopening on Saturday shortly after 11 a.m.

While the investigation into the accident is still ongoing, law enforcement has not yet gathered adequate proof to press charges in connection with the tragedy.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision or possesses surveillance footage of the event to come forward and assist with the investigation.
