Major Closure Alert: Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge Shuts Down This Weekend, Plan Ahead!

The upcoming weekend will bring a temporary halt to travel over the iconic Île-aux-Tourtes bridge as it undergoes essential maintenance work. The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility made the announcement on Monday, revealing plans for a complete closure of the bridge.

Scheduled from 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 3, until 5 a.m. on Monday, October 6, the closure aims to facilitate maintenance and reconstruction activities on the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge. During this period, toll collection in both directions on Highway 30 will be halted, offering commuters the option to utilize public transit services.

Moreover, a new traffic configuration will be implemented approaching the bridge commencing on October 6. Until December 2025, the westbound exit from Highway 40 to Senneville Road will remain closed to enable the ongoing construction of the westbound concrete slab. Motorists seeking access to Chemin de Senneville will need to utilize exit 41 (Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants, Highway 20 westbound, Île Perrot) from Highway 40 westbound.

In addition, the entrance ramp from Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants will be relocated closer to the bridge on Highway 40 westbound.
