One man died of a gunshot wound on Tuesday in Vancouver’s Strathcona neighbourhood.
Officers from the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) say they arrived at the scene near Main Street and Union Street shortly after 7 a.m. and found the man.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The VPD says no arrest has been made, but it is investigating the homicide.

“It is unknown at this time if the victim and suspect knew each other,” said the VPD in a statement.
Officers ask the public to avoid the area for much of the day as investigators gather evidence.
