The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) recently announced a technical glitch affecting Primary Inspection Kiosks at various airports nationwide. Among the affected locations are Toronto Pearson Airport, with disruptions seen at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, leading to longer wait times for passengers.
The outage has also impacted other airports such as Billy Bishop in addition to major hubs like Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, and Halifax. As of now, there is no estimated timeline for when normal operations will resume.
In response to the issue, CBSA has redirected travelers to manual inspection lines manned by border services officers. The agency assured the public that they are actively working with their partners to address the problem. They expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the outage and thanked everyone for their understanding and patience during this time.
