The B.C. Coroners Service has rescheduled an inquest into the tragic deaths of a Prince Rupert family after the B.C. General Employees Union and the Professional Employees Association initiated job action, causing a postponement. Originally set to begin on Monday, Oct. 6, the inquest will now convene on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
The case revolves around the heartbreaking incident where Janet Nguyen, Christopher Duong, and their two young sons, Alexander and Harlan Duong, were discovered deceased in their Prince Rupert residence in 2023. The community remains deeply affected by the loss of this family.
The Coroners Service warns that the new inquest date could still be subject to further changes due to the ongoing job action. For any updates, individuals are advised to check the official Coroners Service website.
