Tragic Loss of Young Adult in Park Altercation in Terrebonne
A heartbreaking incident unfolded in a park in Terrebonne, located in the Lanaudière region, resulting in the tragic death of a young adult during a confrontation involving multiple individuals.
Terrebonne police responded to a distress call on Friday evening at around 9 p.m. at a park along Blvd. des Seigneurs.
The case has escalated to a homicide investigation and has been handed over to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Camille Savoie, spokesperson for the SQ, shared, “A man, aged between 18 to 20, was discovered at the scene with severe injuries. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead.”
“The Sûreté du Québec’s Crimes Against Persons Investigation Service has taken charge of the investigation, working closely with the Terrebonne Police Department. Forensic specialists and investigators are diligently examining the circumstances surrounding this tragic event,” affirmed Savoie.
She further confirmed, “At present, this unfortunate incident is being treated as a homicide.”
