Patrice Brisebois Named President of Montreal Canadiens Alumni Association
Former Montreal Canadiens player, Patrice Brisebois, has been appointed as the new president of the Montreal Canadiens Alumni Association. Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity, Brisebois stated, “The Canadiens Alumni Association brings together many former players who proudly donned the Montreal Canadiens jersey, and I am honored to lead this esteemed organization.”
The announcement of Brisebois’ appointment came from the Canadiens Alumni Association on Sunday, marking the transition from Réjean Houle, who served as president for 27 years. Brisebois expressed his appreciation for Houle’s contributions, emphasizing his pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the association’s activities over the years.
Brisebois, a Stanley Cup champion with the Canadiens in 1993, has been actively involved in community work and was recognized with the Jean Béliveau Trophy in 2009 for his contributions off the ice. He has also been serving on the board of directors for the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation and acting as a team ambassador since 2022.
