“Montreal’s 2027 Vision: ADM Confirms New Airport REM Station on Track for Completion”

Despite recent setbacks in the construction of the Réseau express métropolitain (REM), ADM Aéroports de Montréal remains optimistic about the delivery of the REM station at Montréal-Trudeau airport by 2027.

Yves Beauchamp, President and CEO of ADM, reiterated this target in a speech to the Canadian Club of Montreal. He expressed confidence that CDPQ Infra, the project developer, will address the technical challenges facing the light-rail system.

While passengers may need to exercise patience during the ongoing disruptions caused by ADM’s construction projects at Montréal-Trudeau airport in Dorval, the completion of the REM is expected to alleviate strain on the airport’s infrastructure. Beauchamp anticipates that a significant portion of travelers, around one-quarter, will eventually utilize the train service.

ADM is committed to investing close to $10 billion in infrastructure improvements over the next ten years to enhance the airport’s operations and passenger experience.
