Gunfire Erupts on King George Boulevard, Surrey Police Investigating

The Surrey Police Service (SPS) has issued a warning to the public to steer clear of the vicinity around King George Boulevard and 107 Avenue following an ongoing police incident.

According to SPS, they are currently investigating reports of gunfire that occurred on Monday just before 4 p.m.

Media Relations Officer Sgt. Lindsey Houghton stated, “The suspect is under control by SPS officers and the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team (IERT).”

Authorities have confirmed that shots were indeed fired at a SPS station, with no injuries reported at this time.

Traffic on King George Boulevard has been halted in both directions due to the ongoing situation.

Additionally, there are indications that a bomb threat was also made.
