“Montreal Airport’s Major Shake-Up: Multi-Level Parking Lot to Shut Down Permanently Starting Oct. 15”

Montreal-Trudeau Airport is making significant changes to its parking facilities to enhance traveler experience. The multi-level parking lot is scheduled to permanently close on October 15 as part of the airport’s infrastructure modernization project.

Travelers who typically use the multi-storey and P5 parking lots will need to consider alternative options, such as the P4 parking facility that opened in winter 2024. With over 2,800 spaces across four floors, P4 offers ample parking space right by the terminal. Additionally, car rental services and areas for individuals with reduced mobility will be relocated to P4, while valet and short-term parking will now be serviced by HotelParc under the Marriott hotel.

To avoid parking issues, travelers driving to Montreal-Trudeau Airport are encouraged to reserve their parking spots online, especially during peak travel times when parking availability may be limited. For convenience and efficiency, utilizing public transportation options is recommended whenever feasible.

The closure of the multi-level and P5 lots is paving the way for a new drop-off area with expanded access ramps and a state-of-the-art multi-storey parking facility. The airport authority, ADM, plans to triple the capacity of these new areas to streamline traffic flow on the premises. The construction of the new multi-level parking lot, providing 6,300 spaces with an additional underground level for 1,200 vehicles, is anticipated to be completed by 2031.
