Quebec Fall Vaccination Campaign Begins with Changes

Quebec residents can now schedule their vaccination appointments as the province’s fall vaccination campaign kicks off. However, there is a notable difference this year – the COVID-19 vaccine is no longer provided free for everyone.

According to the Association québécoise des pharmaciens propriétaires (AQPP), individuals outside high-risk groups will need to pay between $150 and $180 for a vaccine dose.

The AQPP revealed that over 1,600 community pharmacies throughout Quebec are offering vaccination services. This milestone reflects the progress made since pharmacists obtained the authorization to prescribe and administer vaccines in 2020.

To schedule a vaccination appointment, the AQPP advises checking the Clic Santé platform for available slots at your pharmacy. If your pharmacy is not listed, contact the pharmacy to inquire about other available slots or consider booking an appointment at an alternative vaccination site.
