In Montreal’s East End, a woman was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Tuesday evening, resulting in injuries.
Reports flooded emergency lines at approximately 6:30 p.m., reporting a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Broadway Ave., close to Prince-Albert Street.
According to authorities, the injured woman, aged 35, was discovered conscious but with leg injuries. She was taken to the hospital and is now in a stable condition.
The incident occurred as the vehicle, heading south on Broadway Ave., collided with the pedestrian.
Subsequently, law enforcement apprehended the 20-year-old driver, who was charged with hit-and-run causing bodily harm.
The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
