Saint-Leonard Shocker: Woman Severely Injured in Vicious Dog Attack

In Saint-Leonard, a 45-year-old woman faced a harrowing ordeal when she was viciously attacked by three dogs on Wednesday morning. According to the Montreal police (SPVM), the incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. as the woman was strolling along Creusot Street towards a mechanic’s garage.

Raphaël Bergeron, spokesperson for the SPVM, revealed that as the woman neared the garage, its doors suddenly opened, unleashing the aggressive dogs that pounced on her, inflicting serious injuries to various parts of her body. A 42-year-old woman accompanying her also sustained injuries to her arms during the attack.

In a frantic attempt to control the situation, the person in charge of the dogs intervened by trying to separate two of the animals, while the third dog retreated back into the building. Subsequently, upon the arrival of police officers, the owner of the dogs consented to the euthanization of two of the canines due to their uncontrollable behavior.

Despite the traumatic incident, the 45-year-old victim remained conscious as she was transported to the hospital, where she is currently in a serious condition. An investigation into the attack is actively underway.
