“Vancouver Shock: Inactive Pipe Bomb Seized Near Residential Area”

Authorities are currently looking into a concerning incident where a potential pipe bomb was discovered outside a residence in the southern part of Vancouver on Tuesday.

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) reported that bomb experts promptly arrived at the scene on East 49th Avenue near Fleming Street after receiving a distress call around 9:30 a.m.

Although the device resembled a pipe bomb, officials confirmed that it did not contain any explosive materials. Constable Tania Visintin elaborated, stating, “While the device had the potential to be turned into a bomb, it did not pose an immediate threat in this instance.”

The motives behind placing the device and the identity of the individual responsible are currently under active investigation by authorities.
