Toronto Police have apprehended a woman in connection with a series of distraction thefts, a crime that took place on July 27 at approximately 6 p.m. in the Lawrence Avenue West and Black Creek Drive vicinity. According to investigators, the accused was part of a criminal group that collaborated in executing various distraction thefts across Toronto. The suspect is said to have specifically targeted elderly and vulnerable individuals, making off with a significant amount of precious jewelry.

Florentina Alexandru, a 44-year-old resident of Toronto, has been taken into custody and formally charged with theft exceeding $5000 and involvement in a criminal organization. She was slated to make a court appearance on Thursday.
