The Montreal Alouettes extended their winning streak to four games with a commanding 30-10 victory over the Ottawa Redblacks on Thanksgiving Day. In a thrilling match attended by a sold-out crowd at Percival Molson Stadium, quarterback Davis Alexander showcased his talent with a flawless performance, maintaining his undefeated record at 10-0. Alexander’s impressive stats included 240 passing yards and a touchdown, as he surpassed the milestone of 3,000 career passing yards.
Austin Mack and Tyler Snead made significant contributions to the Alouettes’ success, with Mack scoring his first touchdown of the season and Snead achieving a career milestone of over 1,000 receiving yards. The team’s defense was solid, with safety Marc-Antoine Dequoy not only scoring a touchdown off a blocked kick but also making key defensive plays throughout the game.
Kicker Jose Maltos Diaz was instrumental in securing the win, going a perfect 5 for 5 in field goal attempts and surpassing 50 field goals for the season. On the other side, Redblacks quarterback Dustin Crum and running back William Stanback fought hard for Ottawa, but it was not enough to overcome the Alouettes’ dominance.
With this victory, the Alouettes maintained their winning streak against the Redblacks and are now eyeing the top spot in the East Division standings. The team’s focus is on winning their remaining regular-season games and hoping for favorable results from other matchups to secure a coveted bye straight into the Eastern final.
