Power Outages Hit Forest Hill Neighborhood Due to Electrical Transformer Incident

Toronto authorities have confirmed that the Forest Hill neighborhood is currently experiencing power outages following an incident involving wires from an electrical transformer sparking and exploding on Monday afternoon.

The incident was reported at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue West and Castlewood Road around 6:10 p.m. local time, prompting officials to respond promptly to address the situation.

Thankfully, there have been no reports of injuries resulting from the transformer mishap.

In response to the incident, a section of Eglinton Avenue West has been temporarily closed off between Chaplin Crescent and Warren Road as authorities work to manage the situation and ensure public safety.
