A teenager was taken into custody for shooting at a vehicle’s occupant in Oakwood Village last week.
Last Friday, a distress call led Toronto police to Oakwood Avenue and Gloucester Grove at 5:20 p.m.
According to reports, the suspect engaged with the vehicle’s occupant before pulling out a gun and firing multiple shots.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the gunfire.
The suspect fled but was apprehended by officers after a short pursuit on foot.
Upon arrest, the individual was found with a loaded semi-automatic handgun and illegal drugs in his possession.
Charles Moxey, an 18-year-old from Toronto, faces charges including aggravated assault, drug possession, and various firearm-related offenses.
Moxey was due in court on Saturday for further legal proceedings.
