A young man sustains critical injuries in Montreal car collision
A tragic incident unfolded in Montreal on Monday evening as a young man was struck by a car, leaving him in critical condition. The Montreal police are actively investigating the collision involving a sport utility vehicle (SUV), which took place just before 8:35 p.m. on De Lorimier Avenue, between Logan Street and De Maisonneuve Blvd.
The 21-year-old victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, while the 58-year-old driver of the SUV emerged unscathed, according to Florence Stafford, a media relations officer for the SPVM. Witnesses reported that the SUV was traveling southbound on De Lorimier Avenue when the pedestrian attempted to cross the street from west to east, where there was no crosswalk, leading to the unfortunate accident.
