Toronto Police Uncover $319K Fragrance Fortune in Massive Perfume Bust

Authorities in Toronto have announced the arrest of a Milton resident in connection with the alleged theft of almost 2,000 high-end perfume and cologne bottles from various retailers around the city.

According to a statement released by the police, an investigation was launched on September 29 following reports of multiple theft incidents at retail stores.

On October 13, law enforcement officers conducted a search at a residence in Milton under a warrant. During the search, they reportedly discovered and seized 1,880 bottles of luxury fragrances, valued at an estimated $319,000.

A photo of the recovered items has been made public by the investigators.

The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Issam Ahmad from Milton, was taken into custody. Ahmad faces charges including trafficking in proceeds of property obtained through crime exceeding $5,000, possession of proceeds of property obtained through crime exceeding $5,000, and possession of proceeds of property obtained through crime for trafficking exceeding $5,000.

Ahmad is set to appear in court on December 1 as the legal proceedings progress.

Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to reach out to the Toronto police.
