Ontario Police Capture Repeat Offender After Nationwide Search
Authorities have announced the apprehension of Michael Lockyer, a 36-year-old repeat sex offender, after a widespread manhunt across Canada. Lockyer, currently serving a seven-year and 10-month sentence for four counts of sexual assault, had violated the conditions of his release and was on the run during the summer.
In a recent update, law enforcement revealed that Lockyer was successfully located and arrested in Simcoe by the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement squad. Further details about the arrest have not been disclosed.
