An investigation is underway following a tragic fire in Oshawa that claimed the life of a young person and resulted in multiple injuries over the weekend.
The incident occurred at 309 Eglin Street West, close to the intersection of Nipigon Street and Park Road North, where a camper trailer was engulfed in flames.
Tragically, one young individual lost their life in the fire, while two adults were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of severe burns and smoke inhalation.
Additionally, a firefighter sustained injuries and received immediate medical attention at the scene.
Authorities have confirmed that the fire has been contained, and they are actively conducting an investigation to determine the cause.
