The Delta Police Department (DPD) is actively investigating a targeted shooting that took place in the early hours of the morning.
According to Sgt. Mike Whiteley, the incident occurred in an unoccupied basement suite on 82nd Avenue, close to 113th Street, at approximately 5 a.m. on Sunday. The suspect, described as wearing a dark hoodie and a facial covering, was caught on CCTV footage alongside a white sedan.
In response to this alarming event, DPD officers will be conducting thorough door-to-door inquiries in the vicinity. Authorities are urging anyone who may have information or video recordings related to the time of the shooting to come forward and assist with the investigation.
It has been clarified by the police that this shooting is not believed to be connected to any form of extortion.
