Vehicle Plows Into Surrey Bank in Shocking Crash, Police Investigate

A dramatic collision between two vehicles led to a car crashing into a bank on a busy Saturday evening, as reported by the Surrey Police Service (SPS).

The incident occurred at the RBC Royal Bank situated on 152nd Street close to 30th Avenue around 6:30 p.m. According to police, the collision happened when a southbound vehicle making a left turn was hit by a northbound vehicle on 152nd Street.

The impact caused the northbound vehicle to veer onto the curb and collide with the front of the bank, resulting in visible damage both inside and outside the building. The wreckage included shattered glass, deformed walls, and ceiling tiles, with signs of damage extending to the ceiling itself. A black sedan was left partially inside the building, while the other vehicle sustained significant front-end damage.

Fortunately, only one of the drivers suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The police have stated that both drivers are cooperating, and there is no suspicion of impairment playing a role in the accident.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the collision.
