York Regional Police are currently looking into an incident where gunshots were directed at a vehicle outside a wedding venue in Vaughan on Sunday night.
Reports of gunfire prompted officers to respond to the vicinity of Highway 7 and Weston Road at approximately 9:55 p.m.
According to investigators speaking to 680 NewsRadio, two wedding guests were inside a parked vehicle behind the venue when another vehicle approached. The assailant fired at least one shot towards the victims’ car before quickly fleeing.
The targeted individuals immediately sought refuge by entering the building and contacting emergency services, avoiding any physical harm.
