Authorities in Durham region are on the lookout for four individuals connected to an incident involving an attempted carjacking in Pickering.
According to reports, a pizza delivery driver was delivering an order in the vicinity of Glenanna Road and Kingston Road when an unidentified man approached him around 11:10 p.m. on October 18.
The suspect led the driver to a different location under the guise of payment, where he was joined by three other males. Allegedly, the group assaulted the driver, seized his debit machine and car keys, and made an unsuccessful attempt to steal his vehicle. Startled by the noise, several residents emerged from their homes, prompting the suspects to flee on foot.
Fortunately, the driver escaped unharmed, as confirmed by law enforcement.
The suspects are all described as young males, aged between 18 and 25, and were last seen dressed in dark attire.
