Montreal Police Launch Major Crackdown on Cocaine Trafficking Today

A substantial police operation is currently underway on Wednesday morning to dismantle a cocaine trafficking network in southern Quebec. Approximately 50 police officers are actively engaged in this operation, with the expectation of multiple arrests being made.

The Montreal Police (SPVM) has disclosed that the operation’s objective is to disrupt a network that is known for procuring cocaine from the Toronto area and distributing it within Quebec.

The investigation is being spearheaded by the Organized Crime Section’s Anti-Gang Unit at SPVM, with additional support from the Sûreté du Québec and the Saint-Jérôme Police Service who are also taking part in the coordinated efforts.
