Teen Arrested at Longueuil Metro Station for Carrying Pellet Gun

A young man, aged 18, was apprehended at the Longueuil–Université-de-Sherbrooke metro station on Tuesday night for carrying a pellet gun.

Authorities from the Longueuil Police (SPAL) were alerted around 7 p.m. regarding a potentially armed individual spotted on the metro station platform, moving in the direction of Montreal.

Thanks to the alertness of a few onlookers and the swift action of police officers, the 18-year-old suspect was taken into custody. A pellet gun was confiscated by the SPAL during the incident.

The SPAL indicated that the young man may be charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose as a consequence of his actions.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident. The investigation is currently ongoing.
