The official election day in Montreal is scheduled for November 2nd, but you have the opportunity to cast your vote ahead of time and make your voice heard.
Élections Montréal will be providing advance polling stations starting the next day to accommodate students on campuses, seniors in residences, and the general public.
Élections Québec announced on Wednesday that registered voters do not necessarily require the election card, usually sent before elections, to vote. This is due to delays in mailing caused by the ongoing postal strike in some municipalities.
To vote, individuals must bring a valid piece of identification such as a driver’s license, Canadian passport, health card, Canadian Forces ID, or the Certificate of Indian Status.
For the general public, advance polling sites will be available this Sunday, October 26, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. You can easily locate the advance voting sites by entering your address.
Registered voters can also cast their votes at the returning office on October 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Residents of CHSLDs and private residences will have the opportunity to vote early at their facilities on October 25. The schedule for mobile polling stations can be found here.
Élections Montréal will facilitate at-home voting for individuals with health or mobility concerns this Saturday. However, the deadline to request this option has already passed.
Starting tomorrow, many university and CEGEP students will be able to vote on their respective campuses.
Polling stations will be set up by Élections Montréal on October 24, 27, 28, and 29.
