Oshawa Duo Arrested in Chilling Scheme to Ensnare Teen into Sex Trade

Police have apprehended a man and a woman from Oshawa following the alleged luring, sexual assault, and involvement in the sex trade of a 15-year-old girl.

The Durham Regional Police revealed that the investigation was initiated in October 2025, as a collaborative effort with the York Regional Police to look into accusations implicating a male and female suspect.

Reportedly, the male suspect initiated contact with the victim at a coffee shop situated in the vicinity of Jane Street and Avro Road in Vaughan. Initially offering her a ride home, he proceeded to shuttle her across various locations in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), confiscating her phone and eventually bringing her to his residence in Oshawa.

Upon arrival, the victim encountered the female suspect, as detailed by the authorities.

Allegedly, the male suspect subjected the victim to sexual assault and confined her within the residence. Fortunately, the following day, the teenager managed to escape and make her way back home.

On the 23rd of October, a search warrant was executed at a residence near Arctic Red Drive and Secreto Drive in Oshawa, resulting in the peaceful arrest of both suspects.

Kimeron Kamal Grant, a 29-year-old from Oshawa, faces multiple charges, including procuring a person under 18, sexual assault on a minor, forcible confinement, among others. Desirae Bailey, a 21-year-old also from Oshawa, has been charged with procuring a minor.

Both individuals were detained for a bail hearing.

Law enforcement expresses concerns regarding the possibility of other victims and encourages individuals with relevant information to step forward.
