Authorities in York Region are currently seeking individuals involved in two separate shooting incidents that occurred early Friday morning in Vaughan.
According to officials, the first incident took place in the Highway 27 and Medallion Boulevard vicinity at approximately 1 a.m. after reports of gunfire. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement discovered visible damage to a residence’s front side. Witnesses mentioned seeing a dark-colored sedan speeding away from the location following the gunshots.
A second shooting was reported just before 6 a.m. on Gregory Scott Drive and Thomson Creek Boulevard, near Rutherford Road and Vaughan Mills Road. In this instance, a man was observed discharging multiple rounds towards a residential property before making a swift escape in a light-colored sedan.
Fortunately, no injuries were sustained in either of the targeted homes despite being occupied during the incidents.
Authorities are currently treating the shootings as separate but deliberate events and are urging individuals with any video footage from the area during the occurrences to reach out to the police.
