Vancouver Teen Arrested for Stabbing Four Downtown Eastside Residents
A Vancouver teenager has been taken into custody and charged following a violent incident where four individuals were stabbed in the Downtown Eastside neighborhood on Wednesday evening, according to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD).
Responding to a distress call, officers rushed to a building located near East Hastings and Jackson Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m. after receiving reports of multiple stabbings.
The victims, comprising three men and one woman, were swiftly transported to a hospital for treatment of their stab wounds, as confirmed by the VPD.
The suspect was apprehended in a different part of the Downtown Eastside just hours after the incident. He is currently detained and faces four counts of aggravated assault.
Authorities suspect that one of the victims was specifically targeted, while the other three were innocent bystanders caught in the violent episode.
