In Brampton, a tragic head-on collision early in the morning claimed the life of one individual.
The Peel Region police reported that around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, a white pickup truck and a blue Jeep collided on McVean Drive between Castlemore Road and Countryside Drive.
Emergency services rushed two occupants of the pickup to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Unfortunately, the driver of the Jeep, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the crash site.
Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances that led to this fatal collision.
