Bo Bichette will be watching from the bench as Game 2 of the World Series kicks off.
The Blue Jays have opted not to include the talented infielder in their starting lineup for the showdown against the Dodgers. Bichette, who made his post-season debut in Game 1 and impressed with a hit and a walk, will be taking a temporary backseat.
Isaih Kiner-Falefa is set to step into Bichette’s shoes at second base and will be batting eighth in the lineup. Meanwhile, George Springer retains his spot as the designated hitter, with Addison Barger and Nathan Lukes joining the outfield lineup after their impactful pinch-hit performances in Game 1.
Despite pitcher Chris Bassitt nursing a small cut and blister, he is ready to take the mound if called upon in Game 2.
