“Arson Alert: Inferno Engulfs Car and Grocery Store in Montreal North, Police Investigating”

Authorities in Montreal are currently probing two suspected arson incidents that took place overnight in Montreal North. The incidents targeted a parked vehicle and a local grocery store.

The first incident occurred around midnight when a parked SUV on d’Amiens Street near Balzac Avenue was reported to be on fire. By the time police arrived, firefighters had already extinguished the blaze. Despite the fire, the vehicle sustained only minor damage, with no harm to surrounding property. A witness reported seeing a suspect setting the vehicle alight before fleeing the scene.

In a separate incident around 4 a.m. on Jean Meunier Avenue, a small grocery store was targeted by arsonists. A fire was discovered and extinguished by an unidentified individual before the authorities arrived. Evidence suggests that one or more suspects broke in through a window to start the fire and then made a swift escape.

The Montreal Police are treating both incidents seriously, with investigations now under the purview of the SPVM arson squad. No arrests have been made yet, and investigations are ongoing to determine if there is any connection between the two incidents.
