Expect Traffic Snarls: Major Construction Slows Highways 25 and 40 in Days Ahead!

Montreal drivers should brace for roadwork-related delays in the upcoming days as Transport Quebec announces scheduled maintenance on major highways.

Starting on Oct. 27, Highway 25 will undergo overnight work, while Highway 40 will see daytime maintenance from Nov. 1 to Nov. 3.

For Highway 25 southbound, expect closures between Exit 5 and Exit 7 during specific overnight hours, with additional closures on select dates until the end of October. The northbound section will also see closures at certain times.

Highway 40 will have partial closures at the Charles-De Gaulle Bridge, affecting lanes in both directions and requiring detours during specified periods in early November.

Transport Quebec assures that the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel will remain operational throughout the maintenance period.

It is crucial for drivers to stay informed and plan alternate routes if necessary by checking Quebec 511 before setting out on their journey.
