Toronto authorities are currently looking into a potential carjacking incident that occurred in the Rexdale neighborhood early on Tuesday morning.
The incident unfolded as a victim was leaving a car wash facility at a gas station close to Queens Plate Drive and Rexdale Boulevard around 2:30 a.m. Armed robbers approached the victim, with reports indicating that they fired a gun during the encounter, resulting in one individual being shot. The victim was promptly taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, though they are thankfully not life-threatening.
In the midst of the altercation, a second person sustained minor injuries, as per paramedics on the scene.
