The Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Foundation (FHMR) embarks on its most ambitious fundraising drive to date, aiming to raise $150 million by 2030.
Under the banner of “Healing without harm, we dare to believe,” this initiative arrives on the heels of increased attention on the hospital’s aging facilities.
Looking ahead to future modernization projects, the FHMR is rallying support for a bold vision that seeks to enhance patient care, boost research efforts, and fortify its healthcare teams.
Julie Desharnais, FHMR’s President and CEO, emphasized the organization’s commitment to pushing boundaries: “Daring is in our DNA, which drives us to launch this groundbreaking campaign. At HMR, we treat patients with unwavering hope, and it’s through our community’s unity that we strive to achieve our goal.”
As a vital healthcare provider for over a quarter of Montreal’s residents, the hospital is renowned across the province for its expertise in ophthalmology, nephrology, immuno-oncology, and cell therapy.
The fundraising campaign is built on two core pillars: addressing immediate care needs while preparing for the hospital’s future expansion and modernization. Desharnais stressed the importance of collective action for the community’s well-being, emphasizing the imperative to enhance care, propel research endeavors, and nurture the growth of healthcare professionals.
“To sustain innovation and uphold our standards of excellence, the time to act is now,” she concluded.
