Projet Montréal Pledges Full Alliance with 2SLGBTQ+ Communities in Bold Re-Election Bid!

Projet Montréal Pledges Support for 2SLGBTQ+ Communities in Montreal

As the upcoming election day approaches, Projet Montréal has made a bold commitment to fully align Montreal with 2SLGBTQ+ communities if they are re-elected.

Citing a concerning increase in hatred and misinformation targeting sexual and gender minorities, Projet Montréal has vowed to enact all the recommendations outlined in the Quebec LGBT Council’s report on fostering inclusivity within municipalities for 2SLGBT+ communities.

Luc Rabouin, the leader of Projet Montréal and mayoral candidate, emphasized the importance of Montreal as a sanctuary for 2SLGBTQ+ youth from all over Quebec. He stated, “We owe it to them to ensure they feel embraced, respected, and secure here. As challenges to the rights of 2SLGBTQ+ individuals persist, Montreal must stand as a steadfast, proud, and inclusive city. We are committed to taking tangible actions to uphold the dignity and right to unapologetically exist for all.”

Robert Beaudry, City Councillor for the Saint-Jacques district, also affirmed the party’s dedication to supporting 2LGBTQ+ communities in shaping the city’s identity and fostering a culture that cherishes and safeguards diversity.
