Majority of Toronto Residents Gear Up for Halloween Festivities, Survey Reveals

A recent survey conducted by Canada Pulse Insights in collaboration with CityNews reveals that Halloween spirit is alive and well in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Over half of Torontonians are gearing up to celebrate the spooky holiday either by handing out candy or going trick-or-treating themselves.

The survey, which polled residents in Toronto and the GTA, discovered that 53% of Toronto dwellers and 55% of those in the GTA are planning to take part in trick-or-treating festivities. Edmonton emerged as the most enthusiastic city for Halloween celebrations, with a whopping 63% participation rate, while Calgary closely followed Toronto at 57%.

On the other hand, Vancouver had the highest percentage of hesitant Halloween participants, with only 48% willing to join in the ghoulish fun. Despite early weather forecasts predicting rain, showers are expected to clear by mid-afternoon, ensuring that costumes stay dry for the evening’s activities.

As the night progresses, many may find themselves torn between Halloween fun and the excitement of Game 6 of the World Series between the Blue Jays and the Dodgers, guaranteeing an electrifying matchup in Toronto at the Rogers Centre.

For those seeking additional Halloween events in Toronto and the GTA, there are numerous options to explore. The survey was conducted from September 30 to October 6 among a diverse group of Canadian adults in various cities, providing insightful data on Halloween plans and preferences.
