Science World Swarmed by Bats Just in Time for Halloween Festivities!

Halloween has officially arrived at Science World in Vancouver, where the iconic building is now glowing like a Jack-o-Lantern. As part of this year’s spooky season celebration, the science museum is offering a special event called ‘After Dark: Bloody Science — Halloween Edition,’ designed exclusively for adults.

At this unique event, guests can explore the dome while enjoying eerie cocktails and a spooky atmosphere. According to spokesperson Larrissa Dundon, attendees can watch a thrilling sword swallowing performance on the center stage and delve into the world of vampire science and folklore. There will also be interactive activities where guests can engage in “bloody science” experiments led by experts from SFU criminology team and the Vancouver Police Museum.

Moreover, as part of ‘Bat Week,’ Science World is also offering educational opportunities for children to learn more about these mysterious creatures of the night. Dundon highlights the importance of understanding the biology of bats, their crucial role in the ecosystem, and the challenges they face. The museum encourages everyone to participate in the various activities spread across the Dome to gain a deeper appreciation for the significance of bats in our world.
