Blue Jays Shake Up Batting Order for Game 7 World Series Showdown
In a pivotal move leading up to Game 7 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Blue Jays manager John Schneider has decided to tweak the batting order. Addison Barger will be stepping up to the fifth spot, while Daulton Varsho moves down to seventh.
Barger, coming off a strong performance in Game 6, boasts an impressive .357 batting average in the post-season with three home runs. Schneider expressed confidence in Barger’s abilities, stating, “I think Barger is swinging it.”
The rest of the lineup remains consistent, with George Springer in the leadoff position, followed by Nathan Lukes, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and Bo Bichette. Right-hander Max Scherzer is set to start for the Blue Jays against the formidable Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers.
On the Dodgers’ side, manager Dave Roberts has also made some adjustments to the lineup, with Max Muncy and Tommy Edman moving up in the order.
Meanwhile, Guerrero continues his tradition of sporting hockey jerseys before critical games, this time donning a Team Canada jersey in honor of hockey star Marie-Philip Poulin. The gesture has garnered support from the hockey community, echoing excitement and anticipation for the decisive Game 7 showdown.
