Meghan Roach, the CEO of Roots, found herself in an unforgettable moment at the clinching World Series game when she caught Bo Bichette’s historic home run ball in the third inning. Positioned in Section 148 at Rogers Centre, just beyond the center-field wall, Roach saw the ball drop at her feet amidst the excitement of Game 7.
Bichette’s three-run blast marked his first playoff homer, propelling the Blue Jays to a 3-0 lead and igniting the roaring crowd inside the stadium. For Roach, the thrill of snatching the ball was a truly overwhelming experience.
Reflecting on the event, Roach shared, “It fell right in front of my feet, and I literally just picked it up. It’s such a fantastic experience to catch the ball, and I can’t wait to share this moment with my two girls at home.”
Accompanied by her siblings, Roach, a devoted Blue Jays fan, had been eagerly anticipating a Game 7 victory. With the treasured home run ball safely stored in her pocket, she holds onto a piece of baseball history from that memorable day.
