Toronto firefighters successfully rescued four individuals trapped in a downtown apartment building during a recent fire emergency. The incident took place in a 32-storey building located on Wellesley Street East, near Parliament Street, early Monday morning at approximately 7:45 a.m.
According to officials, the fire originated in a third-floor unit, resulting in billowing smoke in the vicinity. Firefighters swiftly acted to rescue one person from the affected unit, while utilizing ladders to safely evacuate three others from adjacent units.
The rescued individuals were confirmed to be residents from neighbouring apartments. As of Monday morning, details regarding the cause and specifics of the fire remained undisclosed.
